Our Story

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE KIDS
The Dream Ride was started in 2017 by motorcycle enthusiasts and volunteers of all backgrounds who share a passion for the well being of kids living in high crime communities. Exposure to high levels of violence, crime, gang culture, generational incarceration and family instability promote a cycle of failure. By supporting the efforts of "City Life" through fundraising and creating greater awareness, DREAM RIDE helps to improve the lives of those children most at risk of incarceration so they believe in themselves and succeed. The Dream Ride welcomes all riders and types of motorcycles to our annual charity ride event.

TRANSFORMING YOUTH & COMMUNITY

City Life is an effective ministry model that transforms the lives of urban youth, their families and the communities they live in. The City Life model gives a strategic way to pursue every young person in urban Indianapolis. City Life is a relational, holistic, community-based ministry that desires to see deep change in an urban neighborhood through the raising of indigenous leaders from the young people in that community. By immersing ourselves in the daily lives of teens we become an integral part of their community. We challenge teens to do the same.  As an accepted part of their community, we become a known resource for teens, reflecting the gospel in all we do.  City Life will develop and deliver structured programming necessary for basic health and safety, economic understanding, civic interaction, educational success, and spiritual development currently missing in their community.

INSPIRATIONAL
Children exposed to violence are more likely to abuse drugs and alcohol; suffer from depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic disorders; fail or have difficulty in school;
and become delinquent and engage in criminal behavior. One-third of children that reside in our country’s violent urban neighborhoods have PTSD.

The DREAM RIDE and City Life want to ensure every chance that students at IPS #105 on Indy's Far East Side can overcome these statistics to lead happy and successful lives.

Those outside the motorcycle community are often surprised to learn the support that is provided by bikers;   Motorcycle Clubs, Ministries and Associations;   local, national, and international veterans organizations; charities that seek an end to cancers, poverty, hunger and children's diseases.
It's our hope that the show of support from Indy's motorcycle community not only helps these kids succeed, but it inspires them with the same principles and values.
